I did read other reviews of just the button - many reviews commented that the tolerances were not good and it did not fit in the shifter. I decided to give it a try anyway and unfortunately mine too needed a lot of tweaking. If it fit it would have been a 2 minute job to replace. It did not, I carefully shaped it properly with a dremel and after about an hour or so I had it working. If you are handy - this will work and you can save some $$. If not, or if you are just too busy I would recommend OEM replacement.
This part is listed as fitting the 2004 Accord. The button assembly is too tight for the hole; it's supposed to move back and forth rather loosely, but after pushing it in, it takes a couple of minutes to gradually wiggle it back out. I followed tutorial advice and used a bit of white lithium grease on the tabs that slide along the slots; no amount of lube is going to allow the part to slide. It looks identical to the piece in this product description, but it's unusable.
I bought this to replace the button on my 2004 Honda Accord Shifter that disintegrated. The replacement spring in the package was not long enough to make the new button spring back so the button just goes in and gets stuck. I had to go and order spring straight from Honda to solve the problem.
His is a must have item when you need to repair the gear shift handle.
So far this shift button works exactly as expected. Installation was fairly easy but the inner button was a little bit tight, that is--it was slightly larger than the hole it fit into. The solution was to rub petrolatum or petroleum jelly on the part before fitting it into the shift handle.
Would purchase again.

No issues fit fine , and it fixed the shifting issue
bought this for my 2003 Honda Accord, when everything was installed the knob button was too tight and wouldn’t go back out after pressing. I suggest buying from the actual Honda place for parts replacement
The gear shifter button broke on my 2005 Honda accord. Purchased this replacement about two months ago, installed it ourselves in no time at all and so far haven’t had a problem.
