Purchased this to install on my 2004 Honda Accord Coupe, with the help of a Youtube video it took about 10 minutes and fit perfectly. The only downside is the spring included in the kit was slightly smaller and weaker than the original. I decided to use the original spring and everything works great.

The spring that come with it is poor quality. Everything else is good. Nice appearance.

Received a note from my brother saying that my shifter knob exploded when he went to take my car to the airport. I didn't believe him. Honda makes some really cheap stuff.... Anyway, after a quick video on the silly thing, I hopped on Amazon and ordered it. Installation was easy with the only slight problem that there was a part of the old button stuck inside (being black I couldn't see it). So for only having used it for 2 days, I give it 5 stars. If it should fail, I'll be sure to update!

I bought a used 2005 Accord Coupe. 4 days home from the dealer and the push button on the shifter fell off. I’m pretty sure it was broken when I bought it because there was a little glue residue.
I bought this item and a little tube of silicone lube. There are a ton of YouTube videos on how to do this simple repair. The only tricky part is getting the left side plate of the shifter off. It’s held in place by two little tabs. You just need to pry them up a little slide the plate off. Put a little line on the new button, set it in place, snap the plate back on and remount the shifter head. The whole process takes less than half an hour and you definitely can do it yourself. The only tools you wil need is a philips and a flat screwdriver.
I finally changed it after years of shifting with my thumb. I forgot how much easier it was. The only reason I did put a new one on was that sometimes people have to use your car and they don't know what to do. Taking apart that section is a pain though, it did not come back together very well but it's holding up.
